Herbert Eugene Simpson, age 67, of Arcadia, FL went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2022. He was born on March 1, 1955.

He had been a loyal and dedicated employee of Peace River Citrus until he retired.

Herbert was a member of the West Star Lodge #102 PHA Mason. He loved Fishing, Football and Basketball. He also enjoyed driving in his pickup listening to his music, old school and gospels.  Visiting with family and friends sharing lots of laughter and smiles was also how Herbert enjoyed himself.

His family will remember him for his generosity at family functions and events, and the love he shared to all.

He is survived by his devoted mom, Minnie Jean Jones and his stepmom Betty Luther, both of Arcadia, Florida.

His niece, Divine "Cupcake" who he so appreciated for transporting him to and from his appointments during his time of illness.

His children include Cepeda (Rose) Simons of Orlando, Florida. His brothers and sisters are, Willie Lee Jones Jr., William (Marie) Jones, Verna Haynes, and Charlene Noble, Andrew (Glen) Gordon all of Arcadia. Also, Darrell (Nikesha) Luther Sr. of Dallas, Texas, Harold (Leslie) Luther Sr. of Wisconsin, as well as Brian (LaToya) Luther Sr. of Stone Mountain, Georgia.

He had six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The grandchildren include, Trinity Simons, Rome, New York, Adia (Jubliee) Simons Jr. stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. Also, Ananda Simons of Daytona, Florida, Devon Simons, of San Diego, California, Isaiah Whidden of Arcadia, Florida, and Austin Corcoran of Arcadia, Florida.

He also leaves to mourn his passing a devoted companion "Lillie Brown" who was the love of his life. Also, a Godson, Lane of Sarasota, Florida as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunties, friends and coworkers and Special Friends, Sharon Townsend and Tora Redding.

He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Luther, Sr. and his stepfather, Willie L. Jones Sr., and a son Adia Simons Sr. also his paternal and maternal grand parents.
