Helen L. (Klickner) Waits, age 93, passed away on January 1, 2023, at her home in Nocatee, Florida surrounded by her family.  Helen was born on October 29 ^th , 1929, in Russellville, Ohio to the late Delbert and Rebecca (Carl) Klickner.  Helen moved to Nocatee in 1972 from Mount Orab, Ohio.  She retired from DeSoto Memorial Hospital, after working 18 years in housekeeping.  After retirement she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her husband. Helen enjoyed her flowers and birds that frequently visited her backyard feeders, spending quality time with her girls and grandchildren.  Helen was a kind and giving person who treated everyone fairly.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Karen (James) Brown, Punta Gorda, Florida, and Billie Jo (Darrell) Suggs, Arcadia, Florida. She also leaves two brothers Charles F. Klickner and Robert Kenneth Klickner both of Sardinia, Ohio.  One sister, Arminda Shiveley of Mount Orab, Ohio.  Grandchildren Jami (Ben) Olive of Lake Placid, Florida and April Martinez of Saint Petersburg, Florida. Six Great grandchildren Trenton (Lindsey) Olive, Lindsay Olive, Sylvia Suggs, Octavier Martinez, Xavier Martinez and Yoshy Martinez. One Great-Great grandson Houston Reid Olive.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, William "Bill" Waits (2014), her parents, brothers Delbert (Junior) Klickner and William David Klickner.

Funeral services and burial will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Florida on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 11:30AM.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Tidewell Hospice.
