Obituary

With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Hayden Jay Church, age 16, whose bright spirit left this world far too soon on March 30, 2026. Born on May 5, 2009 in Arcadia, Florida. Hayden was a deeply creative and artistic soul. She found joy in self-expression-through art, fashion, and the imaginative worlds she loved. She especially cherished dressing up and attending fandom and cosplay events, where she formed meaningful friendships and found a true sense of belonging among those who shared her passions. In those spaces, she truly shined. She also had a deep love for animals-cats, dogs, rats and even snakes. Caring for them brought her peace and comfort, and she had a gentle, nurturing, way that made animals trust and love her. They were a quiet source of joy in her life and a reflection of her tender heart.

Hayden experienced life with deep feeling- her happiness was radiant, and her struggles were real. Those who knew her understood the depth of her heart and uniqueness of her spirit.

Hayden was the apple of her grandparents' eyes, bringing them immeasurable pride and joy. The bond they shared was special and unbreakable, and her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express. She was dearly loved by her family, who will carry her memory with them always.

Though we do not always understand the paths life takes, we take comfort in knowing that God's love is gentle and ever-present. We trust that Hayden is now at peace, held in grace and surrounded by a love greater than anything we can imagine. Her life, though far too short, touched many. Her creativity, her laughter, and her spirit will not be forgotten.

Hayden is survived by her parents: Bradley Church and Kelli Rose; Paternal Grandparents: Frank and Peggy Batson and Gary Church; Maternal Grandparents: Paul Rose and Robin Zetrouer; Siblings: Tracen, Atalie, Aurelia, and Elliot; Paternal Great Grandmother: Mary Batson; Maternal Great Grandmother: Rosalyn Van Wagner, along with many cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her Great-grandfather: Daniel Jay Van Wagner and her uncle, Justin Lee Zetrouer.
