Elder, Marvin P. Wingate age 58 of Wauchula passed away, Friday, November 30, 2012 at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born September 10, 1954 in Wauchula and was a lifelong resident. He was the son of the late J. Merl & Waynoka Wingate of Wauchula, FL. Marvin work many years for Mosiac in South Ft. Meade in the maintenance department. He was a Primitive Baptist Elder and served Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Felda, FL and assistant pastor at Gethsemane Primitive Baptist Church in Ft. Myers, FL. He was a member of Paynes Creek Primitive Baptist Church. He is survived by he is beloved wife Sylvia Wingate of Wauchula; two sons Rickey Hansen of Fort Myers, Christopher Wingate of Tampa; two daughters Sharon Wilson and husband Jeff of LaBelle, Melanie Seals and husband Ron of LaBelle; one sister Linda DeVane of Wauchula, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6pm-8pm Sunday, December 2, 2012 in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 404 W Palmetto Street in Wauchula. Services will be 10:00am Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home with Elder Hollis Albritton officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery.
