Maderia Decie Rouse age 85 of Wauchula passed away February 16, 2013 at Somers Hospice House in Sebring. She was born January 20, 1928 in Wauchula and was a member of First Christian Church. Lovingly known by her family as Rootie Toot , Decie was an avid game player, she also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Decie was a charter employee of First National Bank of Wauchula and retired as the bank s Vice President. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gilbert Rouse; her parents Dewey & Thelma Knight Johnson; and one brother Owen Johnson. Decie is survived by one son Mike Rouse and his wife Patricia of Wauchula; two daughters Leigh Wright and her husband Steve of Cullowhee, NC, Susan Roberts of Wauchula; five grandchildren Janeen, Shannon, Julie, Claire, Jennifer; eight great-grandchildren David, Kaitlin, Shelby, Jessy, Carson, Drew, Eliza, and Cora. Visitation will be 10-11am Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at First Christian Church in Wauchula. Services will follow the visitation at 11:00am with Pastor Darin Canary and Mitch Landress officiating. Committal Service and burial will follow at Wauchula Cemetery.
