Jerry Lee Miller age 64 of Wauchula passed away September 5, 2012 at Florida Hospital in Sebring. He was born November 20, 1947 in Wauchula and was a life long resident of Hardee County. Jerry was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed owning and riding motorcycles. He faithfully served this country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents Dave & Mary Annie Colman Miller; three brothers Johnny Miller, Leonard Miller, Robert Bobby Miller; and one sister Dorothy Miller Armstrong. Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Starnes Miller; two daughters Melissa Stringer and husband Jeffery of Wauchula, Kimberly E. Miller of Wauchula; two brothers W.T. Miller of Wauchula, Dave Miller, Jr. of Wauchula; three sisters Nancy Ann Criswell of Wauchula, Becky Thomas of Wauchula, Juanita Jackson of North Carolina; three grandchildren Stormi L. Darty, Jared D. Darty, and Isabella Annalyce Dodge. Visitation will be 6pm 8pm Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 404 W Palmetto Street in Wauchula. Services will be 2:00pm Friday, September 14, 2012 in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home with Rev. Albert Blum of Lake Dale Baptist Church & Minister Penny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery with Military Honors being rendered by the DeSoto County Veterans Honor Guard.
