Jretha "Ricki" Clanton age 83 passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Wauchula. She was born December 22, 1934 in Wauchula. Jretha enjoyed spending her time exercising at the YMCA.

She is preceded in death by h er parents Leroy and Missouri Stanford Hurst; brother Bill Hurst; sisters Alice Hurst, Estell Blair; niece Carol Sue Clanton .

Jretha is survived by her loving husband Horace Clanton of Wauchula; sons Bruce (Frances) Clanton of Bushnell, FL., Gerald (Pam) Clanton of Bowling Green; brothers Carson Hurst and Olen Hurst both of Charleston, SC.; sister Loretta Clanton of Wauchula; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00am at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home with service beginning at 11:00am. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery with Pastor Stephen Darley officiating.
