Waymon H. Harward, Jr. age 88 of Bowling Green passed away Friday, December 14, 2012. He was born May 02, 1924 in Bowling Green and was a lifelong resident. Waymon was a member of First Baptist Church of Bowling Green. He faithfully served our country during WWII in the US Coast Guard and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Myrtle Lee Woods Harward; his parents Waymon H. & Annie Rebecca Langston Harward; two grandsons, Knight Taylor Hancock, Colby English; and one sister Evelyn Fite. Waymon is survived by two daughters, Carol Ackerly and husband Jon of Bowling Green, Teresa English and husband Alvin of Ona; two grandchildren Julie Warren, Kyle Hancock; three great-grandchildren Lane, Tyler, Damon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Tuesday, December 18, 2012 in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home 404 W Palmetto Street, in Wauchula. Services will be 10:00am Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Bowling Green with Pastors Roland Davis and Blake Albritton officiating. Burial will follow at Bowling Green Cemetery with Military Honors being rendered by the Hardee County Honor Guard.
