Norbert Bert L. LeVasseur age 84 of Wauchula (Crystal Lake Village) passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 in Wauchula. He was born on March 22, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan and moved to Wauchula in 1996 from Lupton, Michigan. Bert served his county faithfully in the U.S. Navy serving in World War II and Korea. He was a member of St. Michael s Parrish. He is preceded in death by his parents Zepherience & Mary DeShano LeVasseur; one son John R. LeVasseur; brothers Eugene, Joseph, Albert, Floyd, Lawrence, Leslie, R J LeVasseur ; and sisters Rosemary Kukla, Madonna Stefaniak, Marie Langton and Marcella LeVasseur. Bert is survived by his beloved wife Rebecca LeVasseur; two sons Robert LeVasseur and wife Ruth of Sterling, Michigan and William LeVasseur of Bay City, Michigan; seven daughters Katherine Jallow and husband Ebrima of Las Vegas, Nevada, Barbie Jo Passeriello and husband Chris of Phoenix, Arizona, Bethany LeVasseur of Bay City, Michigan, Jennifer Harris of Clinton Township, Michigan, Amanda LaCosse of Port Charlotte, Melissa Welch of Baldwin, Michigan and Amy VanHorn of Skidway Lake, Michigan; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
