Obituary

Hampton A. Butch Arter 64 of Arcadia passed away February 03, 2008. He was born July 02, 1943 in Duncannon, PA and move to Arcadia in 2003 from Cape Coral, FL. Butch served his country in the U.S. Marines. He earned his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Suffolk Community College in Suffolk Co. New York. He was a member of the V.F.W post # 2824, life time member of the D.A.V. Chapter FL 111, Moose Lodge 1327, Eagles Lodge 3731, American Legion Post K-11, Am Vets. Post 60, FRA in Lehigh Acres, Fleet Club for Retired Military Veterans. Butch is survived by his beloved wife Elaine Arter of Arcadia, one son Edward Arter of Ft. Benning, GA and Iraq; one daughter Shannon (George) Santiago of Lehigh Acres, FL; one brother Marlin Bud Arter of Havelock, NC; five grandchildren Corey Arter, Bryanna Arter, Christian Santiago, Kelley Arter, and Zackary Arter. He was preceded in death by his parents Ennis & Pauline Arter. No services are planed at this time. On-line condolences maybe made at www.pongerkaysgrady.com.
