In Loving Memory of Guadalupe Cuevas Jr. "Lupe/Billy"

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Guadalupe Cuevas Jr., a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, who departed this world on November 18, 2023. Lupe or "Billy" as he was affectionately known, had an unwavering love for his family and his beloved city of Tampa more specifically his Tampa Bay Bucs.

Billy was a loving son, a supportive brother to his siblings, and a doting uncle to his one niece and four nephews. Billy held a special place in his heart for them, loving them as if they were his own. Family gatherings were made brighter by his presence, his unique dancing skills, and his caring nature creating an atmosphere of love and togetherness that will be deeply missed.

A true Tampa Bay Buccaneers enthusiast, Billy's passion for his favorite team was infectious. His love for the Bucs reflected his dedication to everything Tampa.

Billy achieved a significant milestone in his life by earning his Master's degree from Stetson University, becoming the first in his family to achieve this remarkable feat (yes, even before Jessica who was his biggest competitor).

Billy is full of love because he is reunited with his Wello, who was his whole world.  The peace his family has in their heart is that he is also with, Grandma Janie, Tia Linda, and his cousins Abel and Carlos.  Most importantly he now gets to walk his best friend and loyal companion, Ted.

As we mourn the loss of Lupe "Bill" let us remember the laughter he brought to our lives, the love he shared with his family, and the genuine connections he made with his friends who really he considered his family, he never met a stranger. May his soul rest in eternal peace and may the memories of his love and accomplishments bring solace to the hearts of those who mourn his loss.  He was and always will be one of the BEST.

He is survived by his parents Guadalupe Cuevas, Sr. and Mary Jane Elisondo along with his wife Amanda Salerno Cuevas and brother, Noel (Ana) Cuevas, and sisters, Jessica (Danny) Salas and Jennifer (Marcos) Silva. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Justin Salas, Tyson Silva, Nicolas Salas, Emilio Silva, Melena Silva, Mary Rhodes Manley, Paul Manley, Coy Manly, Parker Fries and Carter Fries. He is survived by many Tio's and Tia's.
