Grace Thompson Hamilton, age 74, passed away Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in Atlanta, Ga. Grace was born April 8, 1937 in Punta Gorda, FL. She was retired from the U. S. Post Office and was a citrus grove owner. She was a member of the FL Citrus Association. She loved traveling and raising roses. Grace was a member of the Ft. Ogden United Methodist Church. Survivors are her son; Lawrence (Trudy)Hamilton, Atlanta, GA, and daughter Janet Hamilton Jackson, Gatlinburg, TN, three grandchildren; Kyle (Ulyana) Hamilton, Barrett Hamilton, Casey Hamilton, and Jake Jackson, , two brothers, Ronald (Donna) Thompson, Naples, FL, Charles Thompson, No. Ft. Myers, FL, three sisters, Jean (Arnold) Terry, Louisville, KY, Faye (Don) Mansfield, Arcadia, FL, and Lillian Crutchfield, Springfield, FL. Grace is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Hamilton in 1992, her parents, Charles and Lena Thompson Hamilton, and six brothers and sisters. Visitation will be conducted from 3:00PM until 5:00PM Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral home chapel, 50 N. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia FL. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, October 24, 2011 at the Ft. Ogden United Methodist Church with Reverend Neil Avirette officiating. Burial will follow in the Ft. Ogden Cemetery.
