Gloria S. Edenfield of Fort Meade, FL passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at her home in Fort Meade. She was born on August 8, 1946 in Wauchula, FL, to Luther and Idelle Shackelford Sasser.

She graduated from Hardee County High School in 1964. She was a member at the First Baptist Church of Avon Park. She was a church pianist since the age of 10 years old, first being New Hope Baptist Church. Her favorite hobby was sewing. She was a Loan Officer in the banking industry and was employed by Wells Fargo Bank.

Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother and Grandma.

She is survived by her husband James "Jimmy" Edenfield, her children Mike and Tina of Fort Meade, Jeff Edenfield of Denver, CO, Wes and Kristen of Pierson, FL, and Mandy and Rod Gorby of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by her sister Sylvia Nicklow. Gloria has 7 Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Sasser and Idelle Sasser Jones, as well as a brother Hulon Sasser.

Her service will be at 10:00AM at the Friendship Memorial Chapel located at 804 Moffitt Road, Zolfo Springs, FL 33890 on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Marcus Shackelford will be officiating. Burial to follow the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Florida Baptist Children's Home Lakeland, FL.
