Glenda Mae Skinner, 81, of Avon Park, FL, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at Somers Hospice House in Sebring, FL. Born on March 28, 1944, Glenda was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering dedication to her family.
For over 30 years, Glenda worked as a Road Construction Engineer for the Florida Department of Transportation and, after retiring, continued in this line of work with Kinard-Stone, Inc. Through her many years of hard work and dedication, she earned the respect of her colleagues and left a lasting impact in her field.
In her personal life, Glenda enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and watching the Game Show Network. She cherished spending time with her beloved dog, Wendy, who was a constant companion and source of joy. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her, and her legacy will live on through her family and the many friends she made along the way.
Glenda is survived by her children: Allen Eures (Avie), Teresa Reehm (Ray), Tommy Watkins (Nici), and Rebecca Estes (Gator), along with 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Carolyn Davis and Harriet Watkins, and her brothers, Bill and James Eures, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Evelyn Eures; her brother, Larry Eures; and her grandson, Alex Eures.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Somers Hospice House, Sebring, FL.
Glenda's family would like to express their heartfelt thanks for the support and love they've received during this difficult time. Her love will always live on in us, and in all the lives that she touched. We will miss her every single day.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10:00am-12:00pm for friends and family at Ponger-Kays Grady Funeral Home, 205 N. 9th Avenue in Wauchula,
