Gerald Preston Tomlinson age 58 and lifelong resident of DeSoto County passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022.

Although he was self-employed, he worked in the Tree Service area and Appliance Repair fields.  As a young man he took on a family of four and was a devoted father and husband.

He enjoyed motorcycles, music, talking with old friends and was an avid collector.

His family will remember him as a loving, caring, funny, problem-solving man.

He is survived by his mother Judy Lemus, his children, Michelle Christian (Abraham) Moreno of Arcadia, Stephanie (Glen Evon) Connell of Arcadia, Gerald Tomlinson, Jr., of Arcadia,Christopher (Andrea) Tomlinson of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Joani (Bronson) Lawson of Arcadia, Florda.

He also is survived by his sisters and brothers, Michelle Tomlinson, Lisa Tomlinson, Preston Tomlinson, and Nelson Tomlinson. His nieces and nephews include; Summer, Zach and Alex. He has nine grandchildren; Rebecca, Miranda, Derik, Wilson, Mantha, Brookie, Ashley, David and Leah. There are also, ten great grandchildren; Noya, Luka, Kai, Meeah, Tyler, Elijah, Addy, Kinsley, Adalee, and Lorelei.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Anita Tomlinson, father Preston Tomlinson and a daughter, Ruby Tomlinson.
