George W. Nicholson, age 83, of Avon Park, Fl. formerly of Arcadia, FL. passed away May 27, 2010 in Avon Park, FL. George was born in Parkersburg, WV. February 22, 1927. He lived in Arcadia several years prior to Hurricane Charlie in 2004. He was forced to relocate after the hurricane and settled in Avon Park, FL. settling in Avon Park. George was a retired machinist for a chemical plant. He was of the protestant faith. Survivors are his beloved wife, Isora M. Nicholson, Avon Park, Fl., sons Verl and George (Sheri) Nicholson both of Michigan. A visitation will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL.
