George Stanley Boog Layport, age 68, passed away July 15, 2011 in Punta Gorda, FL. Boog was born September 20, 1942 in Arcadia, FL. He was a livelong resident of Arcadia. Boog lived the life of every young boy, that of being a real life cowboy. He provided for his family while at the same time living a life that most people only dream about. Boog loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping, air boating, and being a cowboy. He was of the Baptist faith. Boog is survived by his wife, Hilda Layport, Arcadia, FL, four sons, Charles (Diane) Layport, Michigan, David Layport, Richard (Tina) Layport, James (Rindi) Layport, and all of Arcadia, FL, one daughter, Lois Valentino, Michigan, , eleven grand children, Tiffany, Chad, Sharon, Joey, Hilda, Austin, Cody, Wyatt, Daniel, Rusty, and David (Sara) Layport II, four great grand, Autumn, Haylei, Grace, and Hunner four brothers, Floyd Wayne Layport, Arcadia, FL, Billy (Carol) Layport , Michigan, John (Tina) Layport , Ga., and Calvin (Peggy)Layport also of GA, one sister, Sharon (Dan) Collins, Arcadia, FL. George is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd S. and Aleen Skinner Layport. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
