Gary Edward Reese passed away on January 20, 2024, he was born on February 7, 1940, to Sanford Henry Reese and Bertha May Smith.

He had lived in this area for 35 years and was a retired printer and a United States Army veteran.

He enjoyed tinkering and repairing vehicles and printing equipment. He also loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as a caring, generous, loving person.

He is preceded in death by his spouse Karen Simmons, daughter Rebecca Reese and brothers Glen Reese and Sandy Reese.

He is survived by his brother Don Reese, children Jodi Lynn Emery (Pedro Perez) of Arcadia, Florida. He had 5 grandchildren: Dalton and Sara Emery, Dillyn Hughes, Mark King, Samuel and Holly Mason as well as 2 great grandchildren, Alexandria Hughes and Ryleigh Hughes. There are also numerous nieces and nephews that will miss him.

Burial will be February 7, 2024 at 11:30am at Sarasota National Cemetery.
