Frances B. "Gerry" Frierson age 92 of Arcadia, Florida; passed away on August 1, 2022.

Gerry was born in Brooklyn, New York, March 29, 1930. In 1952 Gerry received her Honorable Discharge from the United States Navy and married Mack M. Frierson.

In 1964 Gerry and Mack relocated to Arcadia with their two children, and in 1971 were blessed with their third child.

As a young woman, Gerry owned and managed multiple rental properties in Arcadia and managed Kiddie Kuntry Klub, a children's daycare that she also owned. After retiring from the daycare center, she became a successful Real Estate agent with Century 21.

She was of the Baptist Faith and a member of The First Baptist Church of Arcadia.

Gerry was an avid traveler; she visited many countries overseas and various places throughout the United States. She loved to gamble and often made a visit to the Casino in her travels.

Music was also one of her passions and she became the director and choreographer of a Honky-Tonk Variety Show. They performed locally and donated all their proceeds to local organizations. She was also a percussionist with the Charlotte Symphony.

Gerry's was always active in her life; she was an avid dancer, enjoyed Yoga and trained in Karate.

Gerry was an adventurer!  When she found an activity that interested her, she would immerse herself in it. She learned to fly and became a skilled pilot. She traveled out west to a Dude Ranch and became a working cowgirl. Another time she attended the Florida Everglades Outward Bound Camp learning survival skills in the great outdoors.  Doing these different things made her happy. Gerry enjoyed challenging herself, pushing the limits with everything that she pursued.

She is survived by her children Gary (Alice) Frierson and Lynn (Kieth) Hollingsworth all of Arcadia, Florida.  Also, Carolyn Whicker and Ronnie Claunch.  She had nine grandchildren, Tiffany Coan, Chad (Cortny) Hollingsworth, Crystal (Chris) Brantley, Richard (Aby) Hollingsworth, Sterling (Ryan) Young, Casey Whicker, Tyler Whicker, Donald Claunch, and Jonathan (Amy) Wutrich.

Her great grandchildren include Brody and Berkley Brantley, Cody Burton, Shelby and Elijah Hollingsworth, Peyton and Emmett Hollingsworth, Adam, Carson and Roxanne Young and Eme Wuthrich.

Gerry was preceded in death by her mother Carmela Caliva, her brothers Anthony and Salvatore Caliva, and her sisters, Concetta Brunnett and Priscilla Jenkins, her husband, Mack M. Frierson, and close companion Arthur Black.

There will be a Graveside service at 10:00AM at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Arcadia on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
