Obituary

Faye Carolyn Moseley, 86, of Zolfo Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, September 30, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Faye was born on August 27, 1940, in Miami, Florida, to the late Buelle Cooke and Verical Johnson Cooke. She lived a life filled with faith, family, and the things she loved most.

Faye was a Christian whose faith in Jesus Christ was an important part of her life. She shared 53 years of marriage with her beloved husband, John Moseley. Together, they built a life filled with family, love, and countless memories. Their many years together became an important part of the legacy they leave behind for their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Faye loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. She had a special love for horses and treasured the many times she spent watching her husband and family barrel race. She was also a talented and creative woman who enjoyed painting and expressing herself through her artwork.

Above all, Faye treasured her family. Spending time with those she loved was among her greatest joys. In her later years, she especially cherished spending time with her great-grandchildren. Those moments brought her great joy and created precious memories that her family will carry with them for years to come.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, John Moseley; her parents, Buelle Cooke and Verical Johnson Cooke; her sister, JoAnne Allen; her brother, Billy Cooke; and her daughter, Kimberly Colding, wife of Mike Colding.

Faye leaves to cherish her memory her children, Carlene Spiker; Tony Alvarez (Vicki); and Carmen Cochran (Jack); her grandchildren, Shannen Ayers (Amy), Mikey Colding (Mandy), Justin Spiker (Kassie), Shasta Reeves (Stephen), Branden Spiker (Tara), Jared Cochran, Cody Alvarez (Leah), and Eli Moseley; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Faye will be remembered for her Christian faith, her love and devotion to family, her creativity, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. While her presence will be deeply missed, the memories created throughout her 86 years of life and the legacy she and John built together will remain a treasured part of their family’s story for generations to come.

A Celebration of Life honoring Faye will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 205 N. 9th Avenue, Wauchula, Florida 33873.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by the Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Branden Spiker officiating.

Family and friends are invited to come together as we remember, celebrate, and give thanks for the life of Faye Carolyn Moseley and the lasting legacy of love she leaves behind.
