Faye Diamond Martin, age 93, of Arcadia, Fl., passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010 in Arcadia. Faye was born June 29, 1916, in Cedartown, Ga. to the late Wylie and Effie Brannon Diamond. Faye moved to Arcadia in 1971 from Hamlet, NC. She was a homemaker. She loved cooking and providing a safe and comfortable home for her family to come to at the end of the day. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, ceramics, and entering contests. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Arcadia, FL. Faye is survived by her son Eddy W. (Grace) Martin, Arcadia, Fl., and three grandchildren: Anne (Richard) Longenecker, Mary (Jeff) Lee, and Alexander (Melissa) Martin. She also leaves six great grandchildren: Richie (Lindsay) Longenecker, Sarah, and Joshua Longenecker; Steven (Kristina) and Christopher Manus; Nicholas Martin; and a great great grand child, Cayden Manus. Faye was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, George William Martin. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM Monday, February 1, 2010, from Ponger-Kays- Grady Funeral Home Chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 1, 2010 from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home with Rev. James Longenecker officiating. Burial will take place at Elmhurst Cemetery, Elberton, Ga.
