F.L. (Fairel LeGrand) Revell, Jr. passed away at home on Wednesday March 19, 2025. He was 88.
F.L. was born July 4, 1936, in Wauchula, Florida and a was a lifelong resident of Hardee County. His Parents were Fairel LeGrand Revell, Sr. and Alice "Pritchard" Revell.
He graduated from Hardee High School and attended Florida State University. Then returned to Hardee County to marry his sweetheart Oneita "Conley" Revell.
Named after his father, his initials F.L. became the name everyone knew. He followed in his family's footsteps of being a long-time businessman, owner and operator of Florida Fence Post Co. based in Ona, Florida, founded by his father in 1946. F.L., Jr. started running the business in 1958 and continued until the present, operating now for 79 years. He was also the majority owner and a board member of First National Bank of Wauchula, F.L. Revell Title, Abstract, and Insurance, Inc., FL, was owner and operator of Revell Crate Mill after K D Revell passed on, and the F.L. Revell Ranch and Groves of Wauchula, FL.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather for his family. He loved hunting quail, turtledove, and turkeys, and occasionally squirrels. He loved walking in the woods, tennis and table tennis back in the day. Never one for idle time, he kept himself very busy; always thinking about his family's needs and his many responsibilities. He was a lifetime member of the First Methodist church of Wauchula, FL.
He loved the woodlands, pasture, cattle, and groves. He cherished and preserved the family's Horse Creek Ranch to be maintained and handed down through the family for future generations to come, and not to be sold.
F.L. was preceded in death by his parents, F.L. & Alice Revell, Sr., his brother Wilson Lee Revell, his sister Mary Lois Revell, and step-sister Lela "Revell" Prince, his daughter Gwenna Lea Revell and nephew Wilson L. Revell, Jr.
He is Survived by his wife of 68 years, Oneita (Conley) Revell; daughters Deborah G Revell and Alice Elene (Antonio) Salas);
The children and grandchildren of Deborah are; Crystal Barron (Kevin) and their children Gwenna Alexis Bledsoe, Dominic Bledsoe, Lane Bledsoe of Plant city, FL; Lacey Jo Rymanowicz (Dusty) and her children Tyler Crutchfield, Allison Barton, Jackson Barton, and Jaxon Rymanowicz of Wauchula, Florida.
The children and grandchildren of Elene are; Tony LeGrande Salas, Jamie Rivas (Ruben) her children Reese, Rolland, and Rebecca of Wauchula, Florida.
Steve Wayne Revell (son of Gwenna Lea Revell). Wauchula, FL; great grandson Colton Bledsoe, of Plant city, FL
Memorial service will be held at 10:00am March 29, 2025, at First Methodist Church 207 N. 7th Avenue Wauchula, Florida.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Methodist Charity Program, Hardee Help Center and Send me Missions.
