On the 17Th day of November 2010, Evelyn Meyer Walker peacefully departed this world. She was surrounded by her friends and family she loved as she slipped away peacefully. She was born September 5, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri. There were those that had gone before to wait for her in a better place, her mother and father Eugene and Ella Meyer, known by loved ones as Connie and Gene and her husband Arlyn Pete Walker. Her family and friends who cannot fill the void she leaves are, Adopted sister Janene Smith,; her loving son and daughter Glenn and Lynn; beautiful granddaughters Ashley, Whitney, Lauren, and Shelby; and precious great grandsons Blaine and Brodie. Evelyn was known as a very meticulous person with a love for art. Evelyn loved nothing more than to bring a smile to a person s face with a funny joke or a piece of art made by her own hands. Evelyn was a proud member of the DeSoto County Class of 1954. where she found herself every year reliving her high school days with all of her wonderful classmates. She was known by many form her days working in the pharmacy and cosmetic s at Koch s Drug and Arcadia Drug. A Celebration of Life will b held at Morgan Park, Arcadia, FL on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at 1:00PM.
