Eula Mozell Dyess, 82, of Arcadia, Fla., passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008, in Arcadia. She was born July 15, 1925, in Arcadia and had lived in and around Arcadia and DeSoto County all of her life. Eula was a homemaker, making sure that all of her family's need were met. She was a member of Arcadia Church of God, being very active in her church, conducting Bible studies and sharing God's word. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Michael P. (Emily) Dyess of Wilkesboro, N.C.; daughter, Sharon D. (Chuck) Sloan of Arcadia; brother, Harmon Ronnie (Ellen) Raulerson of Mammoth, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Percy Dyess, in 1996. Visitation will be conducted from 9 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at Ponger-Kays-Grady Chapel, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. The Rev. Jimmie Brantley will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia. Arrangements are by Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home.
