Eugene LeRoy Alderman, Sr., born on December 5, 1928, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Wauchula, Florida.

"Gene", an Air Force veteran and retired Fire Chief, was a long-time resident of Bowling Green, Florida. He worked for Crown Cork and Seal CO for over 35 years and held other mechanic-related jobs in the area. A beloved member of his community, Gene served as a crossing guard into his nineties. Gene was a devoted husband and father, loving grandfather, and doting great-grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his eldest son, Ross Alderman, and his wife, Betty Creveling Alderman.

He is survived by children Eugene LeRoy Alderman, Jr. (Roy) and Sara Polk, grandchildren Noah, Heather, Sean, Megan, Jessica and Catherine, and great-grandchildren Madison, Hannah, Gunner, Cullan, Kenna, Kinsley, Abigail, Cooper, Elizabeth, Camden, and Lily.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Bowling Green on October 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.
