Through the years, Marguerite was actively involved with Cub Scouts, Little League and Pop Warner Football, and was an avid fan of the DeSoto Bulldogs. Following retirement, she moved back to the Jacksonville area and remained there until the death of her husband, William A. (Bill) Jones in 2002. Following his death, Marguerite returned to Arcadia to reside with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Arcadia.
