Ernest L. Currie, age 81, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2009 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 26, 1928 in Lexington, MA., moving to Florida eighteen years ago from Cape Cod , MA. Ernest was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his family very much. Ernest was past president of the Mass. Bass Assn., enjoyed spending his time after retirement fishing, gardening, and wood carving. He was also a very accomplished carpenter and built his last two homes. He is survived by his wife, Beverly A. Currie, of Arcadia, FL., one son Donald R. Currie of Tampa, FL., one daughter Michelle A. (Earl) Kelley of Marion, MA., one sister, Shirley (Warren) Bean of York Beach, ME, two grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe, numerous nieces and nephews. Ernest is preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Rita Glawson Currie, a brother Arnold L. Currie and a sister Betty L. Currie. Memorial Services and Celebration of Ernest life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations in Ernest name to the American Heart Assn., P.O.
