Erma Ruth Warren, age 81 passed away September 18, 2024 in Port Charlotte. She was born September 6, 1943 in Bartow, Florida to Shelton Vann and Rosetta Fields. She lived in the community for over 55 years and was employed at G. Pierce Wood Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed making beads, yard sales, fishing, cooking, planting and watering her garden, going to the food bank, but most of all spending time with family. She was a member of St. Paul's Missionary Baptist Church in Limestone, Florida.

Erma's family will remember her as a person who liked to joke around and say whatever is on her mind, and a praying woman of God.

She is survived by her loving husband Jimmie Lee Warren Sr., her children Jimmie L. Warren Jr. (Antoinette), James (Michael) Vann, Jacqueline Warren, Diane Warren, Sharon Warren, and Julius Warren and siblings Gladys Tomlin, Henry Vann, and Orlinda Morgan. Sixteen grandchildren Lapila, De'Creisha, Lingkeshia, Ira Mene, Ben, Octavia, Cheyenne, Savonon, Jamika, Jimmie III, Brandon, Rodrick, Demetrius, Jasmine, Jendayi, and Jahki, along with four great grandchildren Lennix, Isley, Steve Moodie, Tearra Fair.

Erma is preceded in death by her mother Rosetta Vann, father Sheldon Vann, sisters Gertrude Knowles, Beatrice Vann, and brothers David Vann and Horace Vann.

A visitation will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 12-1pm at Ponger Kays Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia. The service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Ellis Cross officiating.
