Emma Jane Lewey, age 78, of Arcadia, Fl. passed away, Dec. 30, 2008 in Arcadia. Emma was born in Greensboro, NC., Sept. 29, 1930 and had lived in Arcadia for the 15 years, moving here from Greensboro. Emma worked in the textile mills in North Carolina before moving to Arcadia. She was a homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts and playing bingo. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are a daughter Mary Pope, Greensboro and a daughter-in-law Janice Lewey, Greensboro, two brothers; Clifton Mitchell, and James Mitchell, of Deltona, Fl., a sister; Jackie Childress, Madison, NC., four grandchildren. Paul Henry Lewey III, Wendy Lewey, and Janet (Brian)Klotebier, all of Nocatee, Fl. and Noah (Katy) Lewey, Port St. Lucie, Fl. four great grandchildren, Jazmen, and Brian Klotzbier, and Hannah Lewey, of Nocatee and Aiden Lewey of Port St. Lucie. And a host of beloved friends at DeSoto Care Assisted Living , Nocatee, Fl. Emma is preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Henry and a son Paul Henry Jr. Memorial services will be at a later date.
