Elsie May Blackson, age 80, passed away, December 1, 2008 in California. She was born in Murdock, Fl. May 24, 1928 moving to California 25 years ago. She retired from the State of California Forestry Dept. She graduated from Charlotte County High, class of 1946. She was preceded in death by her eldest son James O. Jamie Matthews and survived by sons Richard and Robert Blackson. Ms. Blackson was also survived by two brothers, Charles M. and Owen A. Keene and four grandchildren. Graveside services for Elsie May Blackson, who died on December 1, 2008, will be held April 24, 2009 at Pine Level Campground Cemetery, Pine Level, Fl. at 2:00PM.
