Elma "Louise" Lowe, age 94 passed away Wednesday September 4, 2024, in Port Charlotte, Florida. She was born March 10, 1930, in Sarasota, Florida to William Floyd Driggers and Claudia Inez Robbins. The family moved to Punta Gorda shortly after her birth. She was a lifetime resident of Charlotte and Desoto County most of her life was spent on Burnt Store Road. She enjoyed spending time tending her cattle and flowers, but above all tending to her family and serving her Lord and Savior.
Louise is survived by her daughter Verna (Gary) Smith. Son in law Glenn Lee, and brother Jimmie Driggers, and sister Dorcas Addison, grandchildren Jimmy Boatright, Andrea Messner, Amy Swenson, Donald Brown, and Travis Smith, along with fifteen great grandchildren, ten great great-grandchildren, and one on the way and many nieces and nephews.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, husband Virgil Lowe, children Frank Lowe, Allen Lowe, Emily Boatright, Debbie Lee, and Velma Brown, Brother Earnest, and sisters, Elvia, Norma, Betty and Wanda and grandchildren Jason Lee and Tiffany Herlovich.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 16, 2024, from 10-11am at Ponger Kays Grady in Arcadia, Florida. The Service will follow at 11am. Burial will be at Indian Springs Cemetery.
