Elizabeth Richardson, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Born on May 14, 1944, to the late Major Clayton Simmons and Audrey Simmons, Elizabeth lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love. She cherished Jesus, adored her family, had a special love for animals, and was a great friend to many. With her sass and her steady love, she left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

Elizabeth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luther Richardson, and her son, Lamar Richardson.

She is survived by her children, Barbara, Edward, and David; her grandchildren Brian, Amanda, Cheyenne, Kent, Natosha, Cody, Bradley, Nicole, Cory, Kayla, and Anthony; and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply loved and cherished.

Visitation will be held at Ponger-Kay-Grady Chapel on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., with burial at Lake Dale Baptist Church, 3102 Heard Bridge Rd., Wauchula, FL 33873, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
