Obituary

Edyth Arden Rawls passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in Wauchula. She was born in Wauchula on December 16, 1938, to Fred and Jonnie Revell.

She was a lifetime Hardee County resident. Arden was the pianist for 75 years at Ft. Green Baptist Church and also taught Sunday School for many years.

Arden enjoyed working with her plants and flowers, cooking, piano playing, music, and Southern Gospel Music. She particularly enjoyed visiting those who were homebound and spending time with her family.

She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. and for her lifetime commitment to serving the church and the Lord through music.

Arden is survived by her children Gregg Rawls (Shuree) of Wauchula Florida, Leigh Ann Nicholson of Wauchula, Florida, and brother Lynn Revell (Renee) of Wauchula Florida, along with four grandchildren Stephanie Rawls, Justin Rawls, Courtney Leigh Nickerson (Holden) and Danielle Lauren Abbott (Matt), and four great grandchildren Piper Grace Nickerson, Bennett Ellis Nickerson, Charleigh Kate Abbott, and Harper Diane Rawls.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Samuel L. Rawls, and her parents, Fred and Jonnie Revell.
