Edna Louise Johnson of Arcadia passed away on September 18, 2023. Louise was born in Arcadia to Menzy Waters and Della E. Eubanks on November 1, 1950.

Louise was the owner/operator of Louise's Restaurant until 2004 when Hurricane Charley devastated the area. She was a member of the Christ Central Church.

Louise will be remembered as a great loving mother and grandmother. There were many things that she enjoyed, spending time with her family, fishing, and walking. Also, she loved the holidays and taking pictures and putting together memory filled albums for special occasions and family. There was also that great Fruit Cake she will be remembered for.

She is preceded in death by her parents Della Eubanks, Menzy Waters and Orval Cobb, and brothers, George Manuel Waters and Ricky Cobb.

She is survived by her children, Beverly (Ronald) Hand of Arcadia, Florida, David (Cindy) George of LaBelle, Florida and Daniel (Patti) George also of LaBelle. Her brothers and sisters are Retha Willis of Lake Placid, Florida, Cheryl (Donnie) Williams of Mississippi, and Angel Mercer of Arcadia, Florida.

There are 6 Grandchildren, Brittany (Brett) Bennett of LaBelle, Jeremy DuBose of Arcadia, Downing George, Daniel George Jr., Dalton George, and Austin George all of LaBelle, Florida and 3 Great grandchildren whose names are, Bryson Wilson, Brynlee Bennett, and Kinsley George all of Labelle.

The Visitation will be Monday, September 25, 2023, from 10:00am – 11:00am in the Chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Arcadia, 50 N. Hillsborough Avenue. The service will follow. Reverend Mitchell Willis will be officiating. Burial will be at Joshua Creek Cemetery.
