Edith Albritton Williams, age 96, passed away at DeSoto Memorial Hospital, Arcadia, FL on June 17, 2011. Edith was born January 2, 1915 in Bowling Green, FL to the late Rufus and Florence Lastinger Albritton. She owned and operated the Double J Bar and Restaurant in Bowling Green for more than 50 years. She enjoyed the 50 years she spent serving the Bowling Green Community while operating her business. She loved maintaining her yard and raising chickens. Edith was a member of Arcadia Church of God. Survivors are her son; Michael Wayne (Alene) O Bryan, Hosford, FL, a daughter, Bonnie (Daniel) Stewart, Arcadia, FL, a brother, George Albritton, Miami, FL and a sister, Ellamae (Charles) Williams, Bowling Green, FL, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 22 great great grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews. Edith is preceded in death by her beloved husband Clifton O Bryan in 1997, her parents, Rufus and Florence Albritton and a son, Jimmy O Bryan. Visitation will be conducted from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL Funeral services will at 2:00PM Monday, June 20, 2011 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Steve Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at the Bowling Green City Cemetery, Bowling, Green, FL.
