Eddie Evans Jr. age 52, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 in Largo, Florida.  He was born on August 17, 1973 in Medina, New York  to Eddie Evans Sr., and Dorothy Shaw Evans.  Edie was a graduate of DeSoto County High School.  He loved his family.  He would call his friends and family daily to check on them.  Eddie loved to watch movies and listen to music.

Despite facing health challenges, Eddie's tenacity and a love for life were all he wanted.  Never met a stranger.  He approached every day with courage and determination, leaving behind memories that would be cherished by all that knew him.  Eddied will be remembered as a loving, kind, and sincere individual who was funny, competitive with an infectious smile.

Eddie is survived by his siblings, Brad (Karen) Shaw, Annette Evans (Elfridge), Angela Evans (John Robinson), Jerome (Allison) Evans, and Bennie Evans. Nieces and nephews Cecil (Dierdre), Cha `Vonte Randolph, Anquiyette Evans, Jerome Evans Jr., Lauren Evans, Marcus Shaw, Elijah Arthur, Elfridge Arthus Jr., Brad Shaw Jr., Bradrick Shaw, Bradley Shaw, Brada Shaw, Laurelle Robinson, Selaya Robinson, Zayne Evans, Tyreke Evans, Dillan (Sonya) Evans, Maisie, Keona, and Brianna.  Also, had 10 Great nieces and nephews with a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Eddie was preceded in death by parents Eddie and Dorothy Evans.

The Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home Arcadia from 3:00 pm--6:00 pm. located at 50 N. Hillsborough Ave Arcadia, Fl 34266

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 2788 South W. Terrell St., Arcadia, Fl 34266.
