Dwain L. Harwood, age 80, of Arcadia, Fl. passed away March 30, 2009 in Wauchula, Fl. Dwain was born October 14, 1928 in Flint, MI. and had lived in Arcadia since 1977, moving here from Southfield, MI. Dwain was a retired firefighter for the city of Southfield, MI. He was a loyal member of the Arcadia Moose Lodge #1327. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U. S. Navy. Survivors are three sons; Danny (Lori) Harwood, W. Bloomfield, MI, David (Mary) Harwood, Arcadia, Fl. and Jeff (Leslie) Weaks, Springfield, OH. , three daughters; Lynn (Bob) Baker, Millington, MI., Darnelle Harwood, Springfield, OH., and Chrystal Weaks, Cape Coral, Fl. he also leaves two brothers; Joe La Frambois, MI. and Kenneth (Marge) Harwood, Jackson, MI and sister Judy Nicholus, Rochester Hills, MI. and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sisters;Cleo Cain and Joyce Strouble. Memorial service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Arcadia Moose Lodge, 1121 W. Oak St., Arcadia, Fl.
