It is with great sadness and yet some comfort, that we lost our beloved Douglas M. Adams, also affectionately known as "Dougie." The angels came and took him home to heaven at 4:26 in the afternoon on Thursday, August 13th, 2026, to be with his parents, Neil and Patricia Adams.

He leaves behind three wonderful sons and daughters-in-law: Josh and Haley Adams; Blake and Tiana Adams; Zachery and Anna Adams; along with a partner of 16 years, Sheryl Weaver; as well as ten grandsons. 

Doug was an avid over the road (OTR) truck driver for most of his life. He loved being on the road and getting to see all of our great American nation. If only we could have seen what he saw, through his eyes, all of the beauty he must have witnessed. He also loved collecting shark teeth and hunting for fossils with his buddies down at the Peace River in Arcadia, where he lived. Doug loved growing tropical plants, listening to the birds early in the morning and genuinely loved nature.  

Doug will be missed so very much by the many who knew and loved him. With all of our love, Rest in Peace, Doug M. Adams.
