Dorothy Mae McLendon, age 70, passed away, March 2, 2010 in Arcadia, Fl. Dorothy was born September 4, 1939 in Arcadia. Dorothy was a graduate of Desoto County High School, class of 1957. Dorothy was a homemaker. She loved doing puzzles of any kind, cooking, and reading. Dorothy is survived by a son; James Jimmy McLendon, Nokomis, Fl. and a daughter Pamela McLendon of Arcadia, Fl. She also leaves two brothers; Eugene Gene (Eleanor) Scott, Arcadia, Fl. and Melvin Scott, Arcadia, and five grandchildren and a great grandchild. Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Herman Walter McLendon in 1971, a brother James Jimmy Scott, and a grandson David McLendon. Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until 4:00PM Sunday, March 7. 2010 at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, Fl.
