Dorothy Jean Garza, 62, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in Arcadia. She was born February 5, 1948 in Gregory, AK and moved to the area 44 years ago. She was of the Baptist faith. Dorothy loved life, she enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling and playing at the local casinos. Some of her friends might remember her for collecting speeding tickets. She worked as a correctional officer for the State of Florida. She is survived by two daughters; Darlene (Klint) Oden of Avon Park, FL. and Lori Jean Belleza of Arcadia, FL.; one brother Carthil (Peggy) Hallman of Moundsville, AL; two sisters; Magdalene (Jimmy) Thomas of Moundsville, AL and Mildred( Lee) Bowerman of Little Rock, AK.; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth H. Garza, daughter Brenda Lee Albritton, granddaughter, Tuesday Lorraine Blackburn and parents Wiley H. and Gladys V. Cunningham Hallman.
