Doris Rhoden Moore, age 89, passed away Sunday, September 11th, 2022, in Arcadia, Florida. She was born October 7th, 1932 in Frostproof, Florida to Arnold H. Rhoden Sr. and Gladys C. Fiddler Rhoden.

She married the love of her life, Irvin Moore, and moved to Arcadia, Florida where she lived the remainder of her life. Doris was an elementary school teacher and a devoted member of Arcadia First Baptist Church.

Doris was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking and hosting family gatherings. She enjoyed reading and was an avid reader of her bible and daily devotionals. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Doris is survived by her daughters Katherine (Mark) Negley of Arcadia, Florida, Karen (Robert) Smith of North Carolina, and her son, Kenneth (JoAnna) Moore of Arcadia, Florida. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tammy, Kristy, Kelly, Taylor, Richard, Christopher, Olivia, and Rob Smith, along with 13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Irvin Moore, her parents, Arnold H. Rhoden, Sr. and Gladys C. Fiddler Rhoden, her brothers Arnold Rhoden, Jr. and Lewis Rhoden, and her sisters Dorothy Peacock and Dora Skipper.

There will be a graveside service at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, Florida. Pastor Greg Sullivan will be officiating the service.
