Donald Joseph "Joe" Gallimore, 66, of Arcadia, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Joe was born on April 16, 1959, in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He spent most of his childhood in Columbus, Georgia, before moving to Avon Park, Florida, in 1969. He graduated from Avon Park High School in 1977.

Joe served as the publisher for The Arcadian newspaper for Sun Coast Media Group. Later in his career, he started JG Big Star Productions, a promotions company that was more of a hobby than a job, as he truly enjoyed bringing people together for a good time. His enthusiasm and love for life could light up a room when he walked in.

He was an active participant in his children's sports and activities and enjoyed coaching them when they were young. He truly loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Gallimore; his daughter, Courtney G. Hollingsworth (Vernon) of Arcadia; his sons, Cory Gallimore and Kyle Gallimore, both of Arcadia; his sister, Linda Williford; his brothers, Richard Gallimore and James "Butch" Gallimore; and his three grandchildren, Stella Gallimore, Vernon Hollingsworth and Violet Hollingsworth.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine M. Gallimore; his father, Donald E. Gallimore; his sister, Julia DuBoice; and his brother, Michael Gallimore.

Visitation will be held from 10:00AM – 11:00AM. The Service will follow at 11:00AM, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Pine Level Church, 9596 NW Pine Level Street, Arcadia, FL 34266.
