Donald Farmer Sr., a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away on September 10, 2026.

Don served his country with honor and dedication and was a devoted family man whose greatest joy was found in the time spent with those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Charlotte Farmer; his loving children, Dorothy Berrios-Ordonez and her husband Javier, and Donald Farmer Jr. and his wife Jen; his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth and her husband Scott, Matthew, Brayden, and Kenzie; and his adored great-grandchildren, Scottie, Isabella, Skya, and Serenity. He also leaves behind an extended family of brothers- and sisters-in-law, as well as many loving nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.

Don was preceded in death by his father, George Farmer, and his mother, Dorothy Perko, as well as his brother Kenny and half-brothers Bobby, James, George, and Jesse.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home in Arcadia, Florida. A graveside ceremony will follow promptly at 1:00 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida.

His legacy of service, love, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
