The world lost a beautiful angel on June 13, 2010 but heaven is rejoicing in her homecoming. We know your body was tired and we are sad that you are gone but the love and memories you have provided for us will remain in our hearts forever. Dianna Marie Sloan, age 96, of Lakeland FL., formerly of Arcadia, Fl. passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 in Lakeland. Dianna was born March 11, 1914 in Berlin, New Hampshire. She lived in Arcadia, Fl. for more than 65 years prior to moving to Lakeland several years ago to be near her daughter. Dianna was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul s Catholic Church, Arcadia, FL., and was a very active member of the church until she could not participate due to declining health. Dianna is survived by a son Larry G. Sloan and a daughter Peggy Abbott both of Lakeland, FL. ; a sister Lelia Skinner, Montana; grandsons; Ronald (Kimberly) Hay and Donald Hay, Virginia, granddaughter Angela (Joie) Brownlow, Lakeland, FL., thirteen great grandchildren and ten great great grandchildren. Dianna was preceded in death by her beloved husband Leroy Sloan in 1984, a granddaughter; Lynette Kelley, and a sister Lorena Webster. Visitation will be held from 6:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, 50 No. Hillsborough Ave, Arcadia, Fl. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00AM Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at St. Paul s Catholic Church, Arcadia, FL. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
