Guadalupe R. Villegas, Sr., 60, of Arcadia, Florida passed away October 21, 2012. He was born in Alice, Texas on September 26, 1952 and has resided in Arcadia, Florida for more than thirty years, coming from Sundown, Texas. He was a man of many trades, a family man and a business man. He enjoyed barbecuing and listening to oldies while cruising with the windows down. Guadalupe was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Villegas, of Arcadia, Florida, sons; Michael (Christina) Villegas of Port Charlotte, FL. and Guadalupe Villegas, III, of Arcadia, Florida, daughters, Mary Ann (Billy) Poncier, of Arcadia, Florida, Jessica Villegas, of San Antonio, Texas, Christy Villegas, of Arcadia, Florida, brothers, Joe Villegas, Oscar Villegas and Richard Villegas, of Sundown, Texas, grandchildren, William Poncier, Jr., Brandon Shirley, Michael Villegas, Jr., Nicholas L. Villegas, Madison Poncier and Olivia Rose Villegas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Alicia Villegas, son, Guadalupe Villegas, Jr., and brothers, Daniel Villegas, Mike Villegas and Ben Villegas. A memorial service will be at Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home, Arcadia, Florida on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6-8 pm, with a Rosary at 7:30 pm.
