Christine R. Carlton, age 85, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 in Arcadia, FL. Christine was born January 15, 1927 in Daytona Beach, FL, moving to Arcadia in 1986 from Ocala, FL. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, being active in her church, and providing for the needs of her family. Christine was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Arcadia, FL. Survivors are her beloved husband of 68 years, Melvin L. Carlton, Arcadia, FL, three sons, Greg (Barbara) Carlton, Ft. Meyers, FL, Michael (Teresa Terri ) Carlton, Greeneville, TN, Dwayne (Gwen) Carlton, Ocala, FL, a daughter, Beverly (Jim) Marshall, Mt. Juliet, TN, a brother, Ernie (Ellanora) Redish, La Belle, FL, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Christine is preceded in death by her parents, Leon C. and Trolly Long Redish, brothers, Carleslie Redish, Jack Redish, and sisters, Doris Carter, and Carol Redish. Visitation will be conducted from 2:00PM until 4:00PM Saturday, July 14, 2012 with funeral services to follow at 4:00PM at Calvary Baptist Church, Arcadia, FL with Rev. Don Yates officiating.
