Norma Jean Griffin, age 78, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Tidewell Hospice, Sarasota, FL. Norma Jean was born November 21, 1934 in Arcadia, FL. She was a caregiver in the health care industry and formerly employed by G. Pearce Wood Memorial Hospital. She dedicated her life to taking care of and comforting others in their time of need. Survivors are her sons; Remus R. Griffin, Arcadia, FL, R. L. Griffin, Port Charlotte, FL, and Mark (Kathryn) Griffin, Nocatee, FL, daughter Kay (Marcus) Harrison, Lake Placid, FL, her beloved mother Clyde I. Ford Sims, Arcadia, FL, two brothers, Ralph Cutchen, Arcadia, Fl and Paul Cutchen, Zolfo springs, Fl, seven grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father J. D. Cutchens , son Charles Griffin, and two grandchildren, Kimberly Malnory and Jennifer Griffin. A farewell celebration dinner in honor of Norma Jean's life will be from 11:00AM until 3:00PM, on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at King Park, Ft. Ogden, FL.
