DeSoto- Mary Ruth Cotton Moye, 90, of Arcadia, Florida passed away March 28, 2013. Mary Ruth was born April 23, 1922 in Dale County, Alabama and spent her childhood and graduated high school in Bowling Green, Florida. After marriage, she lived in Fort Green, FL and moved to DeSoto County in in 1957. Mary Ruth was a proud homemaker who enjoyed picking berries and vegetables, making jellies, canning, cooking, fishing and spending quality time, making precious memories with her family. Mary Ruth attended First Baptist Church of Arcadia. Mary Ruth is survived by her beloved daughters; Linda Williams and Lana (Larry) Sullivan, both of Arcadia, FL, sister, Janell Ward, of Bowling Green, FL, grandchildren; Donna (Antonio) Plazarte, of Georgia, Pamela (Robert) Bowden, of Orange Park, FL, Brenton Sullivan, of Punta Gorda, FL, Clayton Sullivan, of Arcadia, FL and great grandson, Samuel Bowden. Mary Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Flora B. Chancey Cotton, husband, Marion S. Moye, daughter, Kathleen Moye, sister, Naomi Kemp, and brothers; Milford Cotton and Benny Cotton. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Fort Green Methodist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Charlie Flesher officiating.
