Leonardo Manriquez, age 85, passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 in Arcadia, FL. Leonardo was born February 26, 1927 in Apaseo el Alto, Guanajuato, Mexico, moving to Arcadia Fl 23 years ago from Mexico. Leonardo worked as a ranch hand. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of St. Paul s Catholic Church, Arcadia, FL. Survivors are his beloved wife, Juana R. Manriquez, Arcadia, five daughters, Estela Manriquez, Graciela Manriquez, Herminia Manriquez, Adela Manriquez, and Sylvia Manriquez, all of Arcadia, FL, three sons; Gabriel Manriquez, Ernesto Manriquez, and Miguel Manriquez, all of Arcadia, FL, thirty-six grandchildren and forty-one great grandchildren. Leonardo is preceded in death by is parents Jose Maria and Margareta Manriquez. Visitation will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM from Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Home chapel, 50 No. Hillsborough Avenue, Arcadia, FL. A Rosary recital will be at 7:00PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00PM Saturday, December 29, 2012 AT St. Paul s Catholic Church with Father Vincent Clemente officiating. Burial will follow in Joshua Creek Cemetery.
