Obituary

Lloyd Gilbert Sullivan, age 81, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 9, 1932 in Arcadia and a lifetime resident. Lloyd was of the Christian faith. Lloyd will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Lloyd was Co-owner and managed Cline s Tractor and Machine Shop in Arcadia. Lloyd s friends called him Tweedle and to his family it was Uncle Buse . Lloyd served our Country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1524 and past Exalter Ruler, Moose Lodge #1327 in Arcadia and American Legion Post # 11 where he was Past Commander. Tweedle was an avid Florida Gator s fan, was a Cowboy in his younger years and enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anelia Ann (Cline) Sullivan of Arcadia, two sons; Gilbert W. (Jeri) Sullivan of Port Charlotte, Fl. and Lloyd L. (Leona) Sullivan of Arcadia; two grandchildren Kelli Crafton and Jonathan P. Sullivan both of Port Charlotte, Fl.; great-grandson R. J. Crafton; numerous nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Carl L. and Pina Crews Sullivan, and two brothers Donald L. and Wayne B. Sullivan. A visitation will be Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at the chapel of Ponger-Kays-Grady Funeral Homes, 50 N. Hillsborough Ave., Arcadia. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11:00AM at the chapel with Rev. Ellis Cross and Rev. Billy Wooten officiating. Burial at Joshua Creek Cemetery with military honors presented by the United States Army Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Tidwell Hospice, 919 N.
